Annual Gala Events

Our largest fundraiser of the year, our annual Gala places the spotlight on the people and programs who make good possible every day of the year. Over 300 people attend the Gala to honor individuals who share a commitment to good. Funds raised at the event translate into innovative programs, enhanced services, facility improvements and so much more for Samaritan Daytop Village's clients.

• 2021 - Virtual Gala - Resilience Today for an Even Better Tomorrow - (complete broadcast)
  With the persistence of the COVID-19 pandemic, we celebrated our annual fundraiser as a Virtual Gala on Wednesday, October 13, 2021. Our honorees included Kizzmekia Corbett, PhD, Assistant Professor of Immunology and Infectious Diseases at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Dr. Corbett was also the lead Scientist behind the creation and development of the Moderna vaccine. Our other honoree was Sher Sparano - OneGroup Senior Vice President and Samaritan Daytop Foundation Board Member "Resilience Today, for an Even Better Tomorrow."  
• 2020 - Virtual Gala - It's a Matter of the Heart, Needed Now More than Ever - (complete broadcast) 

  Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we celebrated our annual fundraiser as a Virtual Gala on Wednesday, October 14, 2020. We highlighted the last 60 years of SDV and our Gala honorees included SterlingRisk President & CEO David Sterling, Actress Phylicia Rashad, and Host and Weatherman of NBC's TODAY, Al Roker.  "It's a Matter of the Heart, Needed Now More than Ever." Your support helps transform thousands of lives for the better.

Annual Golf Fundraising Events

This year's Golf Invitational & Dinner will take place on Monday, August 15, 2022.

Hosted by Samaritan Daytop Village Board member Vincent F. Pitta, Esq., our Annual Golf Invitational & Dinner features a day of golf on the greens of the Richmond County Country Club in Staten Island. The dinner portion of the day includes awards, raffles, and a presentation to an honoree who is making a difference in the community.

Carmine's Cigars Golf Outing

Each year, Carmine's Cigars Tobacco Shop proudly partners with Samaritan Daytop Foundation to organize the annual Carmine's Cigars Golf Outing in Staten Island. The day features golf at the La Tourette Golf Course, a post-golf barbecue at Carmine's Cigars, raffle prizes, and (of course) cigars.
